Mike, my friend ! Glad you are back among us.
Now, there is one thing bothering me a bit. When people talk about riding long distances, they look for anything else, but not a Savage. They say it's not a good bike for long distances. Wrong. It is the way they ride the long distance, that is wrong. Take your TIME, choose smaller, less crowded roads where you ride safer + meet nice people. THAT is travelling by motorbike. If you want to get quickly from point A to point B, then take an airplane.
The big single is just perfect for long, nice, countryside trips. The engine is strong and simple, very few things can brake down. Besides, you can renovate a thumper almost ad infinitum. Just take good care of yor bike, and your Savage will carry you thousands of miles... Enjoy them !
All good things.Peter.
